We had been waiting weeks to figure out if it had worked, and she told me she had gone to the clinic for her blood test today. She was going to have a baby! Well we were going to have a baby- it was all still overwhelming to me. Even though it was nearly impossible to contain my excitement, I still wanted to surprise Mason. I walked into the station to do a "criminal profile" sketch for Mason. His partner had helped me plan the whole thing over the phone. Unfortunately, when I got there he was still on the street. I waited impatiently in his office. |

I walked in with a man in cuffs. I saw Campbell when I walked in but kept my attention on the guy I had with me. He struggled under me and I gave him a slight push forward, leading him to a holding cell. "Hey." I said to Campbell, giving her a light kiss. "How are you?" I asked.

"Good. Tom put a file for a criminal profile on your desk. He asked if you would go trough it with me." I said. Really, I had told him to just make a fake one and put it there.

It was almost impossible to mask my smile and excitement. "Not much. Just some paperwork for work." I said. "Let's get this sketch done." I suggested, waiting for his description.

I nodded and opened the file. "Let's see, tall, short black hair, early thirties." I started to describe.

I completely ignored him and put my pencil to the paper. In big letters, I wrote You're going to be a dad and put a heart at the bottom. The rest of the time I pretended to be focused drawing. "Ok, how does this look?" I asked, putting it face down on his desk.

I picked it up and stared before dropping it and looking at Campbell. "Really?" I asked. I scooped her up and spun her around. "We're going to be parents!" I said excitedly, and probably to loudly.

I laughed lightly. "Yeah, we are." I said. One he let me go I gave him a long kiss. "You're going to be a great dad." I said, giving him a long hug.
