I smiled. "Yay." I said, scooting closer to him. "How are your dad and sister?" I asked. I had been thinking about his dad a lot- I even called them a few times to ask how his health was. I hated keeping this secret from Connor.

I bit the inside of my cheek hard. I felt so torn- on one hand I hated keeping secrets from him but on the other hand I wanted to respect his dad. I gently kissed his cheek. "I'm going to get us some drinks." I said softly, going to the kitchen.
