"Yeah, he'll be fine." I said. I opened my door and stepped into my bedroom that was left just how I had left it. A bookshelf of comic books on one wall, my bed in the middle and a picture of my mom on my bedside table.

I smiled. "I love it." I took it in for a second then started looking around. Opening the closet, I found an oversized sweatshirt. The front said mathlete. Of course. "This is so comfy!" I put it on and the sleeves went past my hands.

I wasn't used to dealing with sadness like this. But after a moment, I slowly sat next to him and put my arms around him. "Would it help to talk about it?" I asked softly.

It hurt a little that he didn't trust me enough to talk about it, but I understood he didn't want to go through that pain again. I kissed his cheek. "Ok. Will you give me an official tour of your town? Your dad and sister can come with." I suggested, changing the subject.

It's fine! I've been really busy too  Sage I smiled, excited. I found an old baseball cap of his and slipped it on my head. Along with sunglasses, it would be harder for people to spot me. That way, we could enjoy ourselves instead of him and his family waiting for me to sign stuff. "Ok let's go." |

We got in the car and I say in the back with his sister instead of up front. "So what's the best place in town?" I asked her. She smiled brightly, happy that I showed interest in her. She started going on and on about all her favorite spots and I smiled.
