Haleigh Winters I walked into my film class a minute or two after the bell had rang. I heard that the teacher was pretty cool so I hoped she wouldn't count me tardy on my first day. Honestly I had just gotten lost. I had to ask for directions to this building from like 7 different people and let me tell you, that was embarrassing. I walked in and she was already talking to the class. She looked up but just smiled and motioned towards the seats and continued talking about herself and the film class this year. I looked for an open seat and could only find one. I looked down and made my way for it hopping to not attract just to much attention. |

Alexander (Lex)
I sat in film, tapping my pen, rather agitated. My mother had called me twelve times since I'd arrived at CCA only two days previous, my sister was being crabby, and my father had yet to even email me. My entire family was one big mess. I instead focused on my pencil and took a deep breath. A girl rushed in a few minutes late and took the seat next to mine. I nodded politely to her, "Hello."

I looked over while pulling out a notebook and a pencil. "Uh Hey." I said with a small smile. "Im..Haleigh." I introduced myself trying to be as least awkward as possible.

I looked down and up at Mrs. Wright. I had no clue what she was talking about. "Did I miss anything important?" I asked in a whisper not wanted to distract anybody.

With a slight chuckle I adjusted my watch and slid my note book over so she could copy the brief notes I took on our first assignment of the semester. "Not really just the instructions. Now she's just telling us about her favorite movie."

I wrote my name down in the top corner and copied down his notes while she talked about some movies and Audrey Hepburn and Alfred Hitchcock. "Thank you." I said when I was done offering a smile.

"Not a problem at all." The teacher began to wrap up the lecture as she told us to get a partner and begin making a list of our favorite movies, one from syfy one from action one from fantasy, one from romance, and one from comedy. "Would you like to be my partner?" I asked politely.

I was about to ask him if he wanted to be my partner but was relieved when he asked first. "Oh yea of course" I smiled writing down the categories. "Ok….Syfy?" I asked

I grinned as she said Lord of the Rings, I usually kept it under wraps but I was a large fan. "Certainly. I am more fond of the Fellowship, I guess that is how it goes for many sequels though," I said with a shrug as I jotted it down. "Okay... Romance..." I wasn't a fan but after Bella's instant making me watch them by saying it was my "brotherly duty" I was familiar with a few.

I smiled. "I can't decide on a favorite but if I HAD to chose it would be Two Towers…" I said. I tried to think of a Romance. "Uh……" I thought. "The Notebook I guess?" I said. "I don't watch all that many Romances…well I have watched a few but I don't really remember many." I explained.
