Berkley
I walked into my first day of classes, like the other students my eyes were droopy and my legs filled with exhaustion. I'd gotten next to no sleep and was shocked I'd had the energy to throw on skinny jeans, Hunter rain boots, and a thick sweater to shield me from the intense Connecticut cold. Tinkering with my heart shaped charm that hung over my black sweater I walked up to the teacher with a polite grin. "Hello, I'm Berkley Shieferson I am transferring in from out of state."
"And I am Mrs. Lemon. Advanced Science?"
Berkley let out a laugh but covered it with a cough, "Lemon? How nice," she said with a grin. The teacher didn't seem to think she was funny and quickly sent her to her seat where she sulked for her lack of friends to joke with about the uptight woman.

I looked at the girl that set next to me who said he name was Berkley. "In glad he put you here." I said nicely. "I was beginning to worry I'd be by myself." I said putting my name on top of the paper she had handed out. "Oh and I'm Haleigh by the way!" I said rememberin to introduce myself.

Spotting a possible ally I grinned at the girl, Haleigh, "Nothing is worse than being isolated, I think teachers do it to me intentionally. I always feel like I'm in timeout," I joked. "I'm Berkley, nice to meet you!"

I laughed quietly so Mrs. Lemon wouldn't get mad. "Oh my goodness I know. I try my hardest to get on their good side but sometimes I just can't do it they're to mean." It old her. I looked up as Mrs.Lemon told us we could work with a partner for our first day of the semester. I looked at Berkley. "Well you wanna be my partner? I don't know anybody else here..." I admitted with a shrug.

"right? Teachers generally don't appreciate my comments," I said with a shrug. "Yes please! I don't know anyone. Are you new too?" I asked as I wrote my name in my loopy cursive.

I nodded. "Yes I really feel new too." I laughed looking at all the people I didn't know and scribbling down some answers. "So where are you from? You said out of state?" I asked politely.

I nodded, "Yeah I feel like everyone is so comfortable and I'm just like 'Uh what's left and right?' when they give me directions." With a laugh I nodded, "Yep, I'm from North Carolina but I've lived in Wyoming for the past year."

I laughed a bit. "Really? I heard they're both gorgeous places. My mom came THIS close to moving to NC when I was little but then she moved to Cali. Im was born in Washington State though." I explained.

I nodded, "They are but I just love NC. It is the prettiest place in the world. Wyoming is nice too it's just so desolate. The high school I was at only had two hundred people. Total," I said with my eye brows raised as I wrote 'Tertiary Structure' as the answer for the eighth question. I hated doing work with protein structure and functions it was so confusing. "How'd you like Cali?"

"I like it a lot. Nice weather normally." I shrugged. "But I love the rain and it ALWAYS rained in Washington so it was a weird transition." I said. "I had a lot of opportunities for my dancing in Cali though." I added with a smile. I labeled the parts of the nucleotide for the one of the questions.

"All kinds. I've been dancing since I can walk. But my favorite is choreographing which I got to do a lot of at my moms studio." I explained.

I grinned, "That is so cool! Do you want to choreograph professionally?" I asked hoping I wasn't being nosey, I just found it very interesting. Much more so than the CHONs I had moved on to on the worksheet.
