I shrugged. "I didnt either. I only met him once and the memory is vague. All i know is that he had a chance to go to the olimpics for male figure skating so he paked up and left." I thought for a second trying to remember the time he came back. "I was four when he came back and he took me ice skating. when we got back him and my mother got into a fight and he left forever."

Finally all of the things about my figure skating clicked. "I suppose he's one of the reasons I work myself so hard for figure skating." I said quietly.

"After my father left, after the day of skating, I would secretly watch videos of him skating. One time he landed a difficult quad jump and when the interviewers asked him how he pulled it off he said that he pushed himself past his tired point to gain strength and practiced the trick long and hard. So I figured if I was ever going to be as good as him I needed to push myself even harder." I said softly.

"I was doing a lot of competitions in a lot of different places, but things have slowed down since I got here. I have a qualifier next month and a lot of practice ahead of me."
