I stood in front of the fountain looking at in, my hands beary in my pockets. Psychically, I was here, but mentally, I wasn't. My mind wandered to thoughts about what would be happening and where I would be if my dad never got bombed in Greece.

I walked briskly through the courtyard, on my way to the media center to watch TV or a movie or something. The courtyard was pretty deserted because of the cold weather. I wore lazy clothes; tight yoga pants, camel-colored vegan UGGs, and a grey sweatshirt from PINK. I actually did spend some time on my makeup so I looked acceptable, but I just put my hair is a high bun. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a familiar face. I walked quietly up behind him "Hey, crazy person, are in immune to the cold?"

I was jarred out o my thoughts when I heard a familiar voice. "Hey," I said softly.

I shrugged, grinning "I can't promise that but it's better for you skin. Cold weather can dry it out" I added, starting to walk on the sidewalk towards the media center
