AHHH! SO sorry! LOl I'm deleting Pi and making Dixie since none of my charries have a Dixie! SORRY! Lol! She's gunna be Claires horse! And since Clair = Me I = Missy AND Dixie! LOL!
Barn Name:Dixie
Age:20
Coat Color:Chestnut/Red-dun
Markings:Blaze, sock
Height(In hands):16.2hh
Gender(Mare, Stallion, Gelding, ect...):Mare
Breed:AQH(No papers)
Description-
Tall, strong, muscular. Beautiful coat when groomed, but when let out in the pasture she gets it dirty within 5 minutes! Also has cataracts still has some vision and great hearing but is slowly losing her sight. Deep red-dun coat and near perfect confirmation(The tip of her left ear is gone, which throws her off). A bit over-weight but does ahve a lot of muscle. Large, kind eye and a very feminine head. Her hooves are so strong whereas she can go for 2 1/2 months without trimming unlike the normal horse that gets trimmed every 6 weeks. Her markings are very common but flashy on her. Since she's on the older side she does have flecks of grey hair in her mane and tail. Also you can spot little patches of white hairs mixed into her chestnut coat. She looks AMAZING in purple & red. Also dark leather flatters her greatly
Personality-
Dixie and Claire hold a bond with each other like no other. It's like they can communicate by only looking at one another. It's freaky to people who don't understand horses, but horse-lovers like Claire usually know that feeling. Dixie is sweeter-beyond-measure to Claire and her father(She knows who buys her feed!) but a brat to everyone else. Dixie will tolerate other people riding her, but her groundwork toward them is awfulDixie has a fiery, wild personality. Likes to defy a lot of people and doesn't preform well with strangers. Loves Carolyn and is her 'protector'. She is always the top boss, and if she isn't she throws a fit until she's moved to a feild where she CAN be the leader. Though she is going blind she does not slow down and is always moving. Very strong-minded and independant. Dixie really only lets Carolyn handle her but she does do good with children when they are riding her.
Background-
When Carolyn first moved to Tennessee, she was DYING for a horse. She searched on Craigslist every single day, hoping to find the perfect horse for her. And she did find the perfect horse! Tara, a 15 yr old Appaloosa mare. Her parents said that they would possibly buy her and go to see her the next day. Well...The next day was a Monday and Carolyn had a 4-H Horse Project meeting. When she was picked up from school she found that they couldn't go see Tara that day, but her parents found an even better horse for her; Dixie. After her 4-H meeting Carolyn and her parents drove 2 1/2 hours to near the Kentucky boarder and Carolyn fell in love with Dixie. She rode her and tested her out, knowing she was perfect. They made a down-payment of $100(Dixie's full price was $300) and then the next Saturday they went and picked her up.
