I laughed. "Something like that, yes." I said. "I just want a normal relationship with my parents." the word parents felt foreign on my lips; I hadn't seem my mom since she left when I was six. I looked away.

"I like to think things happen for a reason. Let's say you had went with your mother. You may have never gotten into baseball and never came to CCA and we would have never met." I thought like that all the time. Sometimes it wasn't good though.
