After I returned from my trail ride [read: emergency trail ride], I took care of Flash and returned to Knight to give him his grooming. He pouted a bit but let me bring him out on the cross-ties. I texted Saph "In the stables. Wanna come and groom w/ me and Knight? And I got 2 ask u somethin..."

I had been on my way down to the stables when I got a text from Stormi. Sure, I'm on my way. I replied. I walked into the stables and went to the cross-ties. There I found Stormi. "You texted?"

I rolled my eyes. "I'm the first rider here at CCA in over 4o years who has re-trained a blind horse. And, I'm going to start racing Lonagin. He's going to be a fantastic race horse."

I actually got worried for a second. "Bridgit, I know you're a good rider and all" Even though I hated to admit it, we were equal riders. "But are you sure you're trained enough to do that? One slip in training could hurt him later." I said softly.

"Puh-lease. My mom owns a farm. I've retrained 3 blind horses for her in 6 months. And you're switching to racing? Can't handle eventing?" I softened a bit "And retraining a blind horse is dangerous." I lifted my sleave to reveal a perfect hoofprint scar on my left arm. "And this was after I trained the first two." I pulled my sleeve back down and said "So you at least need to be careful for Diablo's sake. Although if you get hurt, less competition for us. Not that I really consider you competition."
