"I'd use the technique I used just now. Use a stronger bit, and whenever she stops, just yank it towards the inside. It forces her to step into the inside, and then you can use a crop to tell her to go."

"Can you hold her for a sec?" I handed her the reins and went to get two dressage whips. I grabbed her extra bridle which had a much stronger bit and quickly slipped on my western spurs. They were a lot stronger than my english ones. I ran back into the arena and sliently put on her new bridle. I let her know I had two whips by giving her a hard smack on both sides. I hopped on and pulled back as hard as I could on the bit. She backed up and slightly freaked out. I then gave her a hard spur and she took off at a smooth canter. I pulled her to an abrubt stop and yelled "Thanks. She'll be fine now"

I gave Vegas a hard smack with the left whip and then circled her a few times. She needed to learn her lesson. I set up some 4ft jumps earlier and went to take them. I gave her one more smack and a spur and she took the first five easily. However on the sixth she slightly hesisated. She started to jumps but caught her back foot on the jump and fell down. I managed to emergency dismount before she crushed me and she hit the ground with a slam. She hopped up and I caught her flying reins. I yanked down hard on her bit and smacked her 5 times "Cut it out or you're gone"

I mounted back up and tried the jumps again. With a firm whip in between most jumps, she did well. I pulled her to an abrupt halt at the end. He sides heaved and i gave her her head for a moment

I dismounted quickly and raised the rails a foot each. I mounted and nudged her into a working canter.

I practiced her extended trot until she stopped. He sides heaved and she put her head down. "Honestly, Vegas, you cannot be tirred now. You're so done being a competitive horse. You're bound for broodmareville." I dismounted, rolled up my stirrups, and lead her out.

At the end of our jumping session, Morgan barely broke a sweat and obediantly went to the middle. I dismounted her and patted her neck. "Good giiirrrl."

I angrily threw the reins over her head and set her loose in her stall. I called up my dad "It's time for Vegas to be a broodmare. She's got great bloodlines but she just doesn't have it in her to be a competitor. I think she'll be a great match with the new stallion. Can you have someone come to pick her up?... Okay, thank you" I hung up and took off her tack.

I walked into the barn and heard what she said. I shook my head and got a hard look on my face. i led Pandora into her stall silently.

I slid her tack into the rolling upright tack box and rolled it to outside her stall door. I picked up all her other stuff and stuffed it into her normal tack box.
