I hopped on Pandora and she took off swiftly at a trot. She's and easy ride. Perfect for me to focis on me. I unstiffned my back a bit and sat to the trot

I yanked the inside rein, making her turn her head to the inside. I clucked, and still no luck. "Umm, excuse me?" I asked her, smacking her butt with my hand. She actually took TWO steps before stopping again.

I smacked her butt again, at the same time that I yanked her reins-HARD. I kicked her with my outside leg. "GET." I growled. She flew into a gallop, and I pulled my reins back, making her halt again. I squeezed her sides firmly and she went into a walk.

Pandora did a nice flying lead change and I sat deep in the saddle.

"Trot." I said firmly. I squeezed her sides but she kept walking. I halted her and yanked the inside rein, making her step to the inside. You had to show her that something unpleasant was going to happen when she didn't listen to you. I gave her a slight kick and she trotted forward. I did a sitting trot around the whole arena.

I halted her and then asked her to canter. "Canter." I said. She immediately went into a canter. I wasnt really used to her movements, but I still did a collected canter. We passed Ashley.

I pulled Pandora up and lead her into the middle and dismounted "Thanks" I told Aly as I handed Pandora her reins.

I handed her the crop. "PLEASE don't take my advice the wrong way." I said. "Vegas-and probably some of your other horses-KNOWS that you're gonna use that crop on her whenever they do something bad. It's basically like eating pizza every. Single. Day. You already expect it and it does not good for you." I gathered my reins. "When you show her that something different will happen, like how I pulled on her bit, that's even more uncomfortable than before, she knows to listen to you. So, when you were using the crop, it probably worked before, but now she EXPECTS it to happen."

I nodded "Maybe using a two dressage whips, a stronger bit, and better spurs would work. I could use them all, a combinatinon, or just one."
