I smiled and led Dixie out of her stall. "I was planning on going for a trail ride. Want to come?" I asked her

"Sure" I lead Fleur to the nearest cross ties. "Fleur has traveled a lot so she'll be fine with the new surroundings"

"That's good." I put Dixie on the crossties and got out her tack. "UGH!" I said in distress. "Stupid mice." I held up my saddle pad, which had holes bitten through it

"Aw, wanna borrow one?" I walked to the tack room and got Fleur's rolling tack box. I quickly unlocked it and pulle dout my extra saddle pad and held it up

OOC: Sure! Just go ton HAVING A REAL COUCH IS SO AWESOME! (Yes I am this excited about a real couch. Wayyyyy better than my trailer couch!) Claire I shook my head. "Naw, this is fine. I'm just going to check and make sure their nest is out and then it'll be fine." I told her, and then I dug around in there. There was one big hole in the middle, but then a few smaller ones. They didn't go through the other side, only to get inside of the saddle pad. I sighed, I really liked this one but it was fine. And I was not going to ask my parents for another, money was already tight and sending me to Canterwood was a bit over the edge. The only way I could thank them now is by now asking for anything but the essentials.

I shrugged "Okay, but if they get worse, just ask and its yours." I slipped it into the trunk and pulled out her all-purpose trail saddle and pad. I slid the pad on her back while resting the saddle on my hip. I pulled out a gek half pad and slipped it on. I heaved the saddle over her back and grabbed a gel saddle- seat pad. It goes on the seat of the saddle and is super comfy. I girthed her quickly and then bridled her with a simple snaffle. "Ready?"

I put on the saddle pad and saddle heasily. MOst people complained about how Western saddles were heavier, but I just didn't get it. Although, maybe carrying one up my mile-long driveway when I first used it made me immune to the weight.... I grabbed Dixie's bridle which matched her saddle and unclipped the halter and crossties. I put the reins over her neck and pinched her poll, easing off the pressure whenever she lowered her head so I could put on her bridle. The I moved my hand down to her mouth as she resisted the bit and pinched the sides so she would open. When she did I quickly slid it into her mouth. Then I led her over to where Ashley was. "Yup!"

I stuck my right foot in the saddle on the right side and mounted. I wanted Dixie to be sound on both sides, so I mounted from the left one time when riding her, then the right the next time, and ect.

I shrugged. "Trail 3? We need a challenge for once." I patted Dixie's neck

Dixie picked up a fast, but smooth trot and we caught up to Ashley and Fleur. Dixie fought the bit to get ahead of Fleur, but I held her back and worked her through it
