"Really now, Sherlock?" I asked, but had to crack a smile. I looked down, and Petri nosed my shoulder. Hard. It sent me into Cris' chest. I quickly backed off. "Sorry, that was my obnoxious horse." I said, my cheeks reddening.

And like that, we seemed to be friends again. "Don't get your hopes up, boy." I teased back. My stomach loudly grumbled, causing me to curse in my head. I hadn't eaten all day.

"Here." I said, pulling a carrot out of my pocket for her. They were supposed to be for the horses, but I ended up eating most of them anyways.

I rolled my eyes. "Just eat it. I usually just consume my weight in apples and carrots so I don't have to buy supper." I laughed.

"Er, alright." I took the carrot and swapped brushes. When I did, I hid the carrot with the other brushes. I picked Petris hooves, hoping Cris wouldn't notice I wasn't chewing.

My mouth fell open. "Cris!" I complained, hiding behind Petri. "You're vicious today!" there wasn't much water. I pulled my hair sown and shook it out.
