I hopped back on Dixie's back and walked her around the arena. After a few laps I told her to jog. Then lope. Finally, we were at a full-on gallop.

I liked Clarie she had guts. I started with some slow easy spins then asked for him to go faster. I had to grip with my legs as huey span. He was best at spins and slides. His circles were always hard and pivots still needed work but he was still amazing. "Whoa." I said almost breathlessly. And like a switch he stopped nearly unseating me. I cantered forward and did a circle where he tried to speed up but I kept him at his pace. Then we ran down the center and I sat back "Ho." I said and he slid a good fifteen feet.

I slowed Dixie to a walk and patted her neck. "Good girl." I praised her. I decided to watch Charlie for a bit. Her and Huey were amazing reiners it was obvious. Of course she was doing all the right cues and everything with him. I never did reining but I was the best one at judging it in my 4-H Horse Judging Group.

I started our finishing circle. We halted at the center and did a spin both ways then backed four steps and finished the pattern. I smiled to claire "How'd I do?" I asked with a smile letting her know to be though

"You both were amazing! But your pivots and circles need a bit more work." I suggested. "Also, what kind of bit are you using" I asked her, suddenly remembering something else.

"Ok, I always get confused by the bits. You most def know this but the snaffles are illegal to use on a horse younger than 4 or 3 I forget which." I told her. "I knew you wouldn't have used it but I just wanted to know what kind you do use." I explained

I nodded, smiling. "I'm pretty sure it is, too. I used to have to judge reining classes a lot so I learned most of the rules and stuff."
