Bella I gently pulled Petri through another turn. We'd been working at the walk and trot for the past 45 minutes and I had to admit--I was exausted. But I wanted to make the YENT, so I needed this work. Petri was getting a bit slower, more tired but wasnt sweating or acting like he needed a break. I patted him before walking, brushing a few hairs off my soft, slightly tight gray 'sweater'

Elizabeth~~ Lea pranced, excited, out of the barn after I gave her a long grooming. I decided to ride bareback today, reason a, I was to lazy to put a saddle on, and b (standing for besides), I assumed it would be good practice. I calmed Lea and led her into the arena where one girl was riding. "You don't mind if I use the arena, do?" I asked kindly. "If not, I can leave," I added shyly.

Bella I looked her up and down, giving her an (obvious) once over. "You can stay." I said, monotone, before doing a sitting trot over a few groundpoles

She gave me an obvious once over. Despite the fact I was used to it, I still felt a bit self conscious. I led Lea over to the mounted block and got on her tall self. I bumped her sides and she trotted foreword. I half halted and she walked quickly, excited.

Bella I fought some critiquing her, and instead cantered the groundpoles.

I settled into position, shoving my heels down and straightening my back before tapping her sides, quieing her to trot. She trotted foreword and I posted quite easily.

Bella That was better. "Hey, do you mind if I jump?" I asked her as we passed each other. I then forced Petri to get a four in the groundpoles at the canter. It was normally a three.

Bella I had Petri hop over a small single, and he landed perfectly. We did a bending line to an oxer. "Goood boooy." I praised.

I pushed Lea to a canter, first being excited, she calmed down and collected herself. I moved my hips with her motion and held my position.

Bella I did a line and Petri got excited and bucked. "No." I pulled him into a circle, then followed with doing a figure eight. Every time the circles met each other, I'd do the sitting trot.

Bella After a few circles, his attention was back on me. I didn't want to overwork him, so I walked.

I cantered another twenty meter circle where A would be, slowing to a trot at X and doing a then meter circle at a sitting trot.
