I walked into the barn found Xanthos (pro: Zan-th-O-s)in his stall, next to the huge hot walker. Luckily for his quiet, and nice disposition. I laughed at Xanthos, who was currently eying a beautiful chestnut mare.
"Hey, Xanthos!" Xanthos turned and nickered in my direction. I smiled at him and led him to the cross ties.
"What's up dude." I said and started to brush him. "Wanna do...dressage?" I asked sweetly putting my hair in a braid.
Xanthos snorted and reached back to bite me. I laughed.
"Wanna do......flat work?" I asked with a smile, Xanthos attempted to bite me again. "Jumping?" I asked.
Xanthos nicked and pawed the mat on the ground.
I laughed. "Okay, how high do you want to jump?" I asked. though Xanthos was back to his interest in the mare. I laughed and quickly tacked him up. I lead him to the arena.

I tacked Petri up and smiled as he attempted to steal my body brush. Four times. "Nooo." I said as he got it in his mouth, gripping the wooden part hard. I gently took it out. "Miiine!" I said before giggling, then putting the black nonslip on, followed by the thin blanket and hunter pad. I finally put my $5,000 CWD on it and followed with a cloth covered girth. I then put earplugs in and polo's on, then tightened the girth. Three. Holes. Finally finishing with the bridle, I got my helmet on. Walking him to the arena, I got on. Another thing was there on her mule, and I ignored it. Petri tried to watch them, him being such a six year old. I rolled my eyes. "Nooo. Let's work." I said before trotting him. I went into two point and put my hands by his shoulders, to ask him for a frame.

I used a tiny aid, and Xanthos cantered away, right when I saw another rider come in. I smiled at them as I rode past, my four year gelding nickering to the big horse, still keeping a nice, fast-yet-stead canter.

I ignored the girl as I trotted. We went a few laps before changing direction, and cantered. I sat easily to Petris smooth canter.

I continued to canter, even when they changed directions. Xanthos threw his head the first time they passed us, but kept his gate.

Ew, she should control her nag.

I turned down the quarter line, in the middle I did a flying change, and changed directions and continued down the rail, and turned Xanthos's eye to the outside, putting my right leg at the girth, my other just behind and at his side, my left hand at the indirect rein, my other direct. Xanthos did almost perfect.

I did a circle with an outward bend. Aww snap. Petri want to watch the other person. "No." I said, making him pay attention

I saw the blonde do almost the same thing. way to set an example, Xanthos. I thought sarcastically.

I then picked my canter up and galloped down the long side, cantered up the short side, etc.

[Kacie]

I made Xanthos canter in a straight line after the counter bend, and a few strides later I got him to do a lateral bend.which he was--kinda bad at. Which was why I was working on it with him.

I collected Petris canter, then did a sitting trot.

I kept Xanthos at the canter, passing the other rider again.

I went to a walk.

I let Xanthos trot, and I sat his posted easily.
