"Yeah...PUPPIES." I said, laughing as my mom took our bags with her strong, farm-girl arms and set them on the foyer. "You'll see them later. They're sleeping with their mom. Kade's with your brothers somewhere in the backyard and Max....well you probably saw Max." She said as she started walking upstairs, motioning us to follow her.

I followed her up the stairs, wondering if I should take off my shoes or something.

As I walked up the huge staircase, I kept my shoes on. Even though we lived in a nice house, we sure as heck weren't all prissy and stuff. As soon as we landed on the second floor I ran past my mom to the back window, a HUGE window that had the best view ever. I looked out and saw many paddocks that held all the horses, and caught a glimpse of a foal and his mother. I smiled to myself and turned back to Chase and my mom. "Well, let's get Chase to his room." My mom said as she led us to one of three guest rooms.

My eyes widened. "You have a big house." I told Aly.

I smiled and shrugged. "I guess." The house has actually been here for a long, long time. Ever since the early 1800s, we just made lots of renovations.

"Here's your room!" I told Chase as I opened the door to a dark blue room with white crown-molding and a big bed, and T.V.

I was sooo happy! I turned and walked to my room which was just across the hall.

I smiled at Chase. "I'll let you get settled. I'll be downstairs in the kitchen with Aly." I said kindly as I closed the door.

I nodded and took my bag. I just stuffed the whole thing into a drawer. I wasnt really into unpacking. I fell onto the bed and checked my phone for any messages.

I sat on a stool in the kitchen, my mom cooking her homemade Mac 'N' Cheese. "When's dad coming home?" I asked. "Oh, later in the afternoon." She said brightly. Just then, Chase came down.
