I think it finally saw us and ran off.

I shrugged. "To bad. It looked like it would make a lot of green." I said.

I looked up when she said something. "Sorry, what?" I asked. Id zoned out.

[Kacie]

"I don't eat deer, my dad and I sell what we catch to a the food market." I said.

[mattie]

Catch? Strange. I nodded. "You should. Its good."

[Kacie]

I nodded. "It keeps the roofover our heads....and a car under out butt, so I geuss." I said with a smile.

[mattie]

I half smiled. "Yeah."

[Kacie]

"So, how did you end up at Canterwood?" I asked

[mattie]

I shrugged. "Change, I guess."

[Kacie]

I shrugged.

[mattie]

"You?"

[Kacie]

"Um, I didn't used to hunt as much I do now, and I rode, was smart, all that crap. So I came across the country to settle in at Canterwood." I said. Literally. Connecticut was across the country from Seattle.

[mattie]

I nodded. "Thats cool," I said a little but unenthusiastically.

[Kacie]

I shrugged. "I left for two years and started hunting again. I was forced to sell my two horses, and bought Banner, the horse I have now." I said.
